Play nice. Here's what that means.
These are the terms for playing The Traveller and CardClassics, and the rules for how players treat each other in CardClassics. By playing, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so please do.

Who and what
“We” and “us” means Stupid Studios, a game studio based in the Maldives. These terms cover The Traveller, CardClassics and this website. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Both games are free. Nothing in them costs real money, and there are no ads.
You must be at least 13 to play CardClassics, or older if your country requires it for using online services without a parent's consent. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you.
The rules
CardClassics is played with real people, many of them strangers. Treat them the way you'd want a stranger at a real card table to treat you. In chat, voice messages, names, photos, club posts and play, don't:
- Abuse people. No insults, threats, bullying or harassment, and no following someone from table to table after they've made it clear they don't want to play with you.
- Spread hate. Nothing that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
- Post sexual or violent content, or anything else that isn't suitable for a 13-year-old.
- Share personal details, yours or anyone else's: addresses, phone numbers, other accounts, or anything that could let someone find a person outside the game.
- Use an offensive name or photo. Your profile photo should be of you, or of something that's yours to share. Club names and pictures follow the same rules.
- Pretend to be someone else, including another player, a moderator or Stupid Studios.
- Cheat. No teaming up with other players at the same table, sharing your cards, playing with bots or scripts, or using extra accounts to collect rewards or invite bonuses.
- Exploit bugs. If you find one that gives you an advantage, tell us at support@stupidstudios.games instead of using it.
- Spam or advertise. No ads, links to other sites, or flooding the chat.
- Trade for real money. Don't buy, sell or trade shells, items or accounts for money or anything outside the game.
- Break the law, or ask anyone else to.
The game replaces common offensive words in table chat with stars before anyone sees them. That filter doesn't make abuse allowed: getting around it is the same as saying it.
Block, mute, report
You don't have to put up with anyone. In CardClassics, from a player's profile or the menu at a table, you can:
- Block them. They can't add you as a friend, invite you or chat with you at tables. You can unblock them later from Friends.
- Mute them, so you don't see or hear their chat and voice messages.
- Report them. Pick what happened (abusive chat, an offensive name or picture, unfair play, spam, or something else) and add a few words if you like. We see the reason and your note. If you report from a table you're at, we also see that table's last 20 text chat lines as our server recorded them. We don't get voice messages, club posts or anything said elsewhere, so if that's what happened, describe it in your note, and keep a screenshot in case we ask for it. The person you report isn't told who reported them.
We aim to look at every report within 24 hours. If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What we do
When a report, or anything else we see, shows that someone broke the rules, we can:
- Warn them, with a message saying what they did.
- Mute them from all chat and voice for between an hour and a week.
- Take down a photo, or reset a name or avatar.
- Take back shells or rewards that came from cheating or exploiting bugs.
- Suspend the account for a day, a week, 30 days, or for good.
We choose the step that fits what happened. Serious harm, like threats, hate or anything that puts a child at risk, can lead straight to a permanent suspension, and we report it to the authorities where the law requires it or someone's safety depends on it. The player gets a notification in the game saying what we did and why. A suspended player sees the reason, and when the suspension ends, when they try to sign in.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email support@stupidstudios.games within 30 days. Include your username and why you think the decision should change. We'll look at it again, with the original report and chat lines, and reply within 30 days. If we agree, we'll lift the action and restore anything we took.
Your account
- You can play CardClassics as a guest, and save it as a full account with a username and password whenever you like. Guest accounts left unused for 12 months are deleted.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so if you think someone else has used it, change your password and sign out your other devices from Settings.
- One person, one account to play with. Don't share, sell or hand over your account.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the game or by email. Here's how.
Shells
Shells are CardClassics' in-game currency. You earn them by playing, from the daily reward and from friends, and spend them in the shop and on table stakes. They have no real-money value: they can't be bought with money, cashed out or exchanged for anything outside the game. Items you get in the shop are a licence to use them in the game, not property.
We may change prices, rewards and what's in the shop, and correct balances that are wrong because of a bug or cheating. When you delete your account, its shells and items go with it.
What you post
Your chat messages, voice messages, names, photos and club posts stay yours. By posting them, you let us store them and show them to the other players they're meant for, for as long as we need to run the game, as described in the privacy policy. Only post what you have the right to share. We can remove anything that breaks the rules.
The games themselves, their art, music, names and logos belong to Stupid Studios. Press and creators are welcome to use the press kit, and to stream and post videos of the games.
The Traveller
The Traveller has no accounts and no online play, so most of this page doesn't apply to it. Your save lives in your browser, which can delete it: when you clear your site data, use a private window, or, in Safari, after about a week without opening the game. We can't recover a save we never had, so copy your save code from the game's menu now and then. The islands are real, but the game isn't a map for real travel.
The legal part
- The games change. We add, change and remove games, features and items. If we ever close CardClassics, we'll say so in the game at least 30 days before.
- As is. We work hard to keep the games running and fair, but we can't promise they'll always be available or free of bugs. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses of shells, items or saves, which have no money value.
- Your rights. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in.
- Ending. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, as described above.
- Changes. If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also say so in the game before it applies.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Maldives, without affecting the consumer protections of the country you live in.
